Open Gardens SA – Marybank Estate

The charming old home was built in 1842 and the rambling and relaxed outer parts of the garden date from that era and are unchanged. Includes Mediterranean plants and some rare trees from the Canary Islands, also succulents, aloes and other tough species that have naturalized. Some areas not irrigated. Newer areas are planted with roses and perennials and there is a vineyard.

Note: Open one day only.
Size: 6 acres

Extra Activities: Morning and afternoon teas by Uraidla CWA. Sip a glass of Marybank wine made from grapes grown in the vineyard. Video showing the property’s history.

There’s no need to book in advance; simply pay at the gate. Full details are on our website.
Entry fees:
• $10 for adults
• $8 for OGSA members
• $8 for visitors with a pensioner concession card, health care card (does not include Seniors Card)
• $8 for TAFE horticultural tertiary student concession
• Free for under 18s.
We encourage visitors to bring cash as EFTPOS facilities are not always available.
