SOMETHING ABOUT THAT PINE – OPEN GARDENS SA SPECIAL EVENT @ HIMEJI GARDEN on SUNDAY 14th JULY 2024
“Matsu” – the Japanese Pine tree is long considered as the “King Tree” in Japanese garden culture. Why is it so special? How do they create these living sculptures? Open Gardens SA invites everyone to come along to the Adelaide Himeji Garden to learn and discover the magic of the Matsu.
When: SUNDAY 14th JULY 2024
Where: Himeji Gardens Corner South Terrace and Glen Osmond Road, Adelaide.
Lectures + Q&A by master Japanese gardener Shinya Ueda.
Large tree demonstration by chief groundsman Anthony Griffin.
Tiny tree demonstration by bonsai specialist Matt Sharp.

Session 1 Lecture and Demonstration 11am
Session 2 Lecture and Demonstration 2pm
Cost $40, includes light refreshments.

Parking on South Terrace. Public Toilet on Glen Osmond Road. Weather protected marquee.
