Open Gardens SA – Etre

A delightful small garden packed with interest, designed by the owner who is an artist, garden designer and sculptor. The garden is opening for 3 days – Friday to Sunday.
Enter Etre through the red Tori with its rooftop garden of wild strawberries and kangaroo grass, and discover a delightful mix of plants, clever design, creativity, and sustainability.
Twenty-one fruit or nut trees and ten floriferous native and ornamental trees provide year-round food, fragrance and bright colour as well as ‘air conditioning’ in the summer months! This quiet sanctuary is the home of Evette Sunset, a garden designer and sculptor who cleverly uses natural materials, found objects and re-purposed building materials in her designs. The garden’s layout and the placement of plants have been carefully considered for visual as well as practical reasons.

Charity: Bassett Street Reserve is across the road. It is an imaginative neighbourhood project that Evette helped to design and coordinate.
Extra Activities: Light lunches, homemade healthy snacks, savoury and sweet. Morning and afternoon tea. Native and exotic tube stock for sale. Walk and talk at 11am and 2pm. Music and poetry reading.
Entry: $10 adults, some concessions are available. Under 18 free entry. Please bring cash as EFTPOS is not always be available.
